About the performer
A highly versatile musician, Gloriana Wolf brings a gifted voice to both solo literature and her collaborative efforts. Gloriana is currently in her final year of study at the Butler School of Music, University of Texas, Austin where she studies with internationally renowned pianist, Anton Nel. As a freshman, Gloriana won Second Prize in the David O. Nilsson Undergraduate Piano Competition at the University of Texas, and the following year went on to earn first prize. During her third year of studies at the Butler School she won the Sidney M. Wright Accompanying Competition. Her summer studies have taken her to the Texas State International Piano Festival, the Aspen Music Festival and School, and most recently, the New Orleans Piano Institute, where she won first prize in the New Orleans Piano Institute Concerto Competition.
Additionally, Gloriana has performed in masterclasses with Marina Lomazov, Gabriel Kwok, Boris Slutsky, and Alan Chow. As an avid chamber musician, Gloriana’s pre college study included extensive work with the Artaria String Quartet as a pianist, violinists and violist. She is incredibly excited to join the Artaria String Quartet in their 2019-20 season, as a guest artist.
