    Congratulations to MASNO's N.O. Piano Institute Alum, 2014 NOIPC Bronze Medalist, 2017 Keyboard Festival Guest Artist, and this year's Nocturne Guest Artist KENNY BROBERG for winning Bronze Medal in the XVI Int'l Tchaikovsky Competition! Kenny gave magnificent performances in all 3 rounds, and we couldn't be more proud of and happy for him. Come here him in November when he returns to New Orleans as our NOCTURNE XVII Guest Artist!

    MASNO is thrilled to cheer on KENNY BROBERG in the Finals of the Tchaikovsky Competition! As a N.O. Piano Institute Alum, winner of the NOPI Concerto Competition, Bronze medalist of the 2014 N.O. Int'l Piano Competition, 2017 Keyboard Festival Guest Artist, and this year's NOCTURNE Guest Artist, Kenny is a dear friend of MASNO; and we could not be more proud of and for him. The Tchaikovsky Finals can be viewed online, and Kenny performs Thursday, July 27. We wish you the best, Kenny!

    THIS SATURDAY! Come see our 2018 New Orleans International Piano Competition Medalists, Ziang Xu (Gold), Sung Chang (Silver), and David Jae-Weon Huh (Bronze) perform again with Maestro Carlos Miguel Prieto and the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra.     We want to thank NOPI Directors Igor Resnianski and Joni Jensen, MASNO Executive Director Cara McCool Woolf, and our outstanding faculty, guest artists, and students who work so hard each summer to continue its excellence.     NOCTURNE is the Annual Gala and Fundraiser of the Musical Arts Society of New Orleans. Held at the Ritz-Carlton in downtown New Orleans, this beautiful event has become one of the most anticipated evenings of the year. The evening includes a champagne reception, salon recital by piano duo Anderson & Roe, and a fabulous dinner.     MASNO and the New Orleans Museum of Art invite you to join us in two weeks on Wednesday, November 7, for Baroque and Beyond: Les Arts Musicaux - a concert celebrating NOMA's Tricentennial Exhibit The Orléans Collection. The concert featuring trumpeter Vance Woolf and pianists Cara McCool Woolf and Dustin Gledhill is inspired by the musical and visual arts of the 17th and 18th centuries and includes works by such composers as Mouret, Rameau, Loeillet, Soler, Fauré, Debussy and Enescu.     2018 New Orleans International Piano Competition Finalists Announced! 

    The three advancing Semifinalists are:

    Sung Chang, South Korea

    David Jae-Weon Huh, South Korea

    Ziang Xu, China

    The 2018 NOIPC Finals will take place at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 29 in Loyola's Roussel Hall. Each finalist will play a memorized recital not exceeding 50 minutes. 

    The performance order for the Final Round is: 

    2:00 PM: David Jae-Weon Huh

    3:00 PM: Ziang Xu

    4:00 PM: Sung Chang
